The OptiMate 2 DUO is suited for charging 12V lead acid and 12.8V / 13.2V Lithium (LifePO4 / LFP) batteries.
What type and size batteries does Optimate 2 DUO charge?
The OptiMate 2 DUO can be used for 12V lead-acid (STD, AGM and GEL) and 12.8/13.2V lithium (LiFePO4 /LFP) batteries, used for engine start & deep cycle applications. For batteries from 6Ah to 96Ah for 24-7 battery maintenance. Can recharge batteries up to 48Ah within 24 hours.
Which will be the charging time?
The time required for the OptiMate 2 DUO to complete a charge on a flat but otherwise undamaged battery is roughly equal to 0.5x the battery’s Ah rating, so a 42Ah battery should take no more than about 21 hours to progress to Step 4. Deep-discharged batteries may take significantly longer.
Do I need to make a selection for my type of battery?
No, the adaptive program adjusts to the battery type.
Can I charge series connected batteries with multi-bank?
Yes, even if the batteries are connected in series they can still be charged without being disconnected from each other.
Connect a charge bank to each battery individually, as if the batteries are not connected to each other. Each charge bank works independently with only the battery it is connected to.
Will series connected batteries complete charging at the same time?
If the batteries are in similar condition and charge level, you can expect that charging progresses at the same speed.
If the batteries were completely discharged and neglected for a period of time, charging completion may be different for each battery.
